Tamil Gurusamy

Tamil has a Master's Degree in Computer Science Engineering from India. His career highlights include past positions as Executive Vice President at The Nielsen Company, Chief Technology Officer at Phoenix Marketing Solutions and currently Platform Strategy Leader at IronMountain.

Tamil got involved with Robotics in 2016 as a coach for a FIRST LEGO League (FLL) team and continued his journey until this year as a coach for FIRST TECH Challenge (FTC). He is an avid volunteer for FLL till date and a passionate teacher of Robotics.

Saru Selvan

Saru has a Master's Degree in Electronics Engineering from India. She worked at The Nielsen Company as a Senior IT Project manager before becoming an independent IT consultant. Saru was a co-coach along with Tamil for the FIRST LEGO League (FLL) team. She is part of the West Florida region's FLL planning committee. She helps planning and organizing the events and tournament for the region as a Team Coordinator and a Judge. She is part of the leadership team for Hillsborough & Pasco County's FIRST TECH Challenge R.O.B.O.T. League, contributing as a volunteer coordinator as well as plan and organize the League's meets. She enjoys working with kids and helping them learn with STEM.

Kala Gurusamy

Kala has a Master's Degree in Computer Science Engineering from India. Her career highlights include past positions as a Director at ValueLabs. She is in between jobs. During this time she spends time learning Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Robotics. She enjoys working with the students and helping them progress

Joshua Selvan

Joshua is a Freshman at University of Florida. He was the one who propelled the family into the world of Robotics when he was in 4th grade. He is passionate about Robotics especially the building part of it. He has solved several complex missions using critical thinking, a challenge that he always loved. Joshua helps with the lessons planning and with instructions when he has free time

Vishva Selvan

Vishva is a Freshman at St.Pete College. Vishva loves working young children and kids are excited to have him. Vishva had been involved with Robotics for the past 6 years as a participant of FIRST LEGO League, a regular referee volunteer at the league's events and as an instructor at a local camp and club. Vishva is a motivation behind STEMSmarts.

Giri Ramakrishnan

Giri is a smart and curious young lad who is Senior at University of South Florida finishing up his Undergraduate Degree in Computer Engineering, Giri helps at STEMSmarts with his insights on the lessons and share his passion for building robots.
